My Story
I’ve loved cooking since I was young, but becoming a father changed what time in the kitchen looked like.
My kids always wanted to be there—watching, asking questions, and eventually wanting to help. When they were little, I often found myself trying to prepare a meal with only one hand free. As they got older, they wanted to take part themselves.
That’s where the idea for Block & Slide came from.
I wanted a simpler way to measure spices—something I could operate with one hand and something my kids could easily use too. What started as a way to make meal prep easier became something that made cooking together more fun.
For our family, Block & Slide has meant easier prep, less mess, and more time together in the kitchen.
